Itinerary
Shimba Hills National Reserve is only about 30 km from Mombasa and is easily accessible from our hotels. It is the smallest national reserve in Kenya, located in a hilly area just under 400 meters above sea level. However, it is noticeably cooler here than on the humid and hot coast.
The main attraction here is a waterfall called Sheldrick’s Falls. With a bit of luck you can see elephants, sable antelopes and giraffes.
We recommend this trip to clients who prefer a quick, short and comfortable introduction to African nature in one day.
The full-day trip starts at 6:30 AM (from Mombasa) and 7:00 AM (from Diani) and ends after 6:00 PM. Lunch is included in this option.
The half-day trip starts at 6:30 AM (from Mombasa) and 7:00 AM (from Diani) and ends before lunch.
